The cooing of a dove rises above the early morning fog. A soft reply filters through the air.
The lake and it's birds are home to me. I can't image the lake without the birds, their voices are intertwined with some of my best memories.
I realized today how many pictures I have of these beautiful creatures. All of the pictures below are from Arlington Beach.
How many can you name?
The birds of Arlington remind me of the promises God gives about being under His wing. It's a safe and secure place to dwell.

He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
Song of Solomon 2:12
Song of Solomon 2:12
The flowers are springing up, the season of singing birds has come, and the cooing ofturtledoves fills the air.
“That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? ...
May the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge, reward you fully for what you have done.”
